The American West, 11,000 B.C. to the Second World War
HIST 275 FA

Crosslistings:
AMST 314

In this course on the American West we will consider the West as place and process, with the emphasis on place--a place where humans have been making history for thousands of years. That's a lot of history to cover in a short time! The course will follow a chronological and topical focus. The first several weeks will be almost strictly chronological--setting the stage. After that, the course will follow a more topical progression, and the chronology will inevitably overlap.
