Euripides
GRK 291 FA
Two plays of Euripides will be read in Greek. Special attention will be paid to questions of style, dramatic structure, and the relationship between Euripides' dramaturgy and the intellectual and political currents in
Athens during the period of the
Peloponnesian Wars.

Euripides' HIPPOLYTUS and ALCESTIS
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Occasional short quizzes. Two examinations on Greek language and meter of the plays. one final paper.
