Russian Politics
GOVT 274 SP
After a brief review of the character of the Soviet political and economic system, the course moves on to analyze the reasons for the collapse of the USSR. In the second half we examine the challenges facing President
Putin, and politics and economics
of the new states that have emerged in the former Soviet Union.
