Selected Women Writers
ENGL 281 FA
This course will explore the theme of women and literary production in the 19th and 20th centuries. Our focus will be on the social and historical issues around women who write as well as on the writing or
"representation" of women in literature.
Readings will include prose, poetry, and criticism.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Two five-page papers and a take-home final exam.
