Introduction to Creative Writing: Fiction
ENGL 166 FA
This is an intensive, exhilarating six weeks, with lots of reading and writing. Any narrative writers should find it pertinent. Students write narratives, descriptions of people, scenes. Instructor lectures,
encourages, harangues. Grammar counts and
will be covered. Student work gets close professional attention in the form of copy editing. We meet partly at instructor's home on campus.
MAJOR READINGS

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Students write on assignment every week.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
All classes, all majors. Leave writing sample with the English Dept. Secretary no later than noon, Monday, September 12, 1994. Instructor looks for interest in the world outside the self, for clarity, self-control, and
originality. (Good punctuation
never hurts). A class list will be posted on departmental bulletin board by noon, Wednesday, Sept. 14. The first class will be Wed., Oct. 26, 1994. Save the time! This course takes time! Drop/Add registration.
