Corporate Finance and Managerial Control
ECON 229 SP

This course offers an introduction to accounting and business decisions: balance sheets, income statements, and sources and uses of funds; capital budgeting; cost of capital; the link between accounting records and economic analysis. Emphasis is placed on the uses of present-value techniques.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Hour test, quizzes, final examination as scheduled by the registrar, project and frequent problem sets. Answers to problem sets will often be discussed in class.

PLEASE NOTE: Students who have taken ECON 249 previously are not eligible to take this course.
