Modern Dance III
DANC 309 SP
This course stresses advanced modern dance technique. From a foundation of basic movement principles applicable to all movement techniques and styles, this course will focus on the performance of complex dance movement
sequences, emphasizing rhythmic
accuracy, continuity, technical mastery, and performance quality. Friday's class taught by different visiting artists.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Discussion workgroups, short papers, attendance at dance concerts.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
May be repeated for credit. Requirement: Placement on this technical level requires recommendation of dance technique teacher previous semester or evaluation at first class.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
