The course will entail close thematic readings of about a dozen plays of Shakespeare with attention to historical and philosophical background.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office. This course may not be taken if you have already taken ENGL 205. This course counts toward the English department pre-1800 requirement.
