This course is an archaeological and art-historical investigation of prehistoric Greece. Among the topics covered are the origins and identity of the ancient Greeks; the relations of Bronze Age Greece with Europe, Asia and Africa; the historicity of the Trojan War; the structure of early Greek societies; explanations for the collapse of the Bronze Age.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
