Making Anthropological Video
ANTH 363 SP
An experimental video laboratory course combining theory and practice in nonfiction and ethnographic video making. The course will concentrate on video production with weekly exercises, readings, study of selected films
and a final video-editing project.
The aim is to introduce students to computer-based digital video equipment and video making from the development of an idea, through shooting and editing, to postproduction, concluding with a visual ethnographic project.

Weekly video exercises, readings, non-fiction film screenings and study, final video-editing project.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Six ANTH majors and six FILM majors will be admitted. Two FILM and/or ANTH courses desirable. Film screenings every Tuesday at 7:30 P.M. in the CFA Cinema. $45.00 lab fee.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
