Computers and Theatrical Design
THEA 310 SP
Students with a background in theatrical design and technology will be given the opportunity to use the latest in computer technology to express and realize their ideas. Areas to be covered include 2D and 3D CAD, 3D
modeling and rendering for scene
design; CAD for lighting design and digital audio.
MAJOR READINGS
The following software will be explored; MiniCad, Infini-D, MacLux, Vision, ProTools, Deck II, SoundEdit 16.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Weekly readings, weekly hands-on assignments using the listed software. One paper and a final project to be developed from the individual student's field of interest.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
