Acting I
THEA 245 FA
An intensive introduction to the art of acting through practical studio investigation. Topics will include the basic elements of the Stanislavski system. Students will present exercises, monologues and scenes in class.
MAJOR READINGS
The specific readings vary from semester to semester depending on the wishes of the instructor.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
One or more monologues, two or three short scenes, various exercises.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
