Elementary Spanish
SPAN 101 FA
Required Sequence: SPAN101 & SPAN102
Introductory language course. Development of receptive and productive language skills (reading, listening, writing, and speaking), with a main cultural component. Four classroom periods (MTWF) with instructor, one with
TA (Th). This is an ampersand
course; although a grade will be assigned at the end of the semester, credit will only be granted upon completion of SPAN102.
MAJOR READINGS
Knorre et al., PUNTOS DE PARTIDA, 5th ed.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Frequent written and oral assignments and tests. Daily attendance to class and regular work in the language laboratory required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Juniors and seniors will be accepted as space becomes available. There will be five class periods of 50 min. each. The TT periods are subject to change.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
