This course reviews and reinforces grammar and develops speaking and writing skills while reading Russian literary texts.

MAJOR READINGS

Frank Miller, RUSSIAN VERBS
Selected readings from Chekhov, Mandelshtam, Aksyonov, Olesha, and Zoshchenko.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Weekly grammar drills, translations, compositions on the readings, regular laboratory drills, poetry memorization. An additional conversation session to be announced.

Conducted in Russian

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
