Majors Colloquium in Religious Studies
RELI 398 SP

The purpose of the seminar is critical examination of textual, historical, social-scientific, theological, and philosophical disciplines in the field of religion. Reflective and reflexive analysis will be given to theories and methods, presuppositions, categorical practices, and comparative designs in classic and current works.

Short frequent papers; intensively literate participation in class discussion.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

This is a required course for religion majors, is LIMITED TO THEM, and is to be taken in one's junior year. This course fulfills a "Critical Disciplines" requirement for the department major.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
