This course is an introduction to research and theory on human development, covering physical, cognitive, language, and social development from infancy to adolescence. Special emphasis will be placed on biological and environmental (e.g. cultural) influences on development. The focus will be on normally developing children, but some examination of developmental disabilities will be included.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
