Chromatin and Gene Activity
MB&B 515 SP

This is a half semester course. It will meet the first half of the semester. You will have until March 6 to withdraw from this course. Several current topics in chromatin structure and gene regulation will be discussed in depth. Original research papers will be read and the results presented by students. The emphasis will be on the experimental approaches that have given us our present insights, and on the approaches most likely to be useful in the near future.

MAJOR READINGS

Journal articles and reviews in the relevant field.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Two short take-home exams.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Undergraduates who did well in MB&B208 (Molecular Biology) could take this course with permission of instructor.
