Topology
MATH 242 FA

Topology is the study of surfaces, in a very general sense. We will discuss metric spaces, connectedness, and compactness. We will also study the fundamental group and the classification of two-dimensional surfaces, if time permits.

One hour exam, one three-hour final examination, 8-10 homework assignments.
