Transition in East Europe
GOVT 277 SP
This is an advanced seminar for students who are already familiar with the history of East Europe. We will explore the problems of building democracy in these societies and in particular, will study the dynamics of the
privatization process in Poland,
Hungary and Czechoslovakia.

Three class presentations (20% each) one research paper (40%).
