Queer Theory

This is a close study of a fast-developing field of theory concerned with the making of sexual practice and ideology and identity in human societies and cultures.

Three short papers, one long paper, no exams.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

1. Punctual and regular attendance at class meetings. 2. Participation in class discussions. This course counts toward the department's theory requirement. There is no wait-list. Preference to students who have taken ENGL304 or have done other comparable course-work on sex/gender. Admission by interview.
