Modern Dance II
DANC 215 FA
Intermediate modern dance. This class will focus on moving with technical precision, projection of energy, dynamic variation, and proper alignment. Emphasis will be placed on learning movement quickly and developing
awareness of space, time, and
energy. Friday's class will be taught by different visiting artists.
MAJOR READINGS
Selected articles.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Attendance at assigned dance concerts, participation in group assignments, short papers.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
May be repeated for credit. Placement on this level requires the recommendation of dance technique teacher the previous semester and permission of the instructor. Friday class will be in TST001.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
Office.
