This course includes readings in a variety of Chinese texts from the fields of literature and intellectual history. Course will be conducted entirely in Chinese.

Quizzes and short papers in Chinese, mid-term and final.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Students who have not taken CHIN 218 may be required to take a placement exam.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
