Bioinorganic Chemistry

This survey course of current topics in bioinorganic chemistry places the emphasis on active site structure/function relationships in metallo-proteins. The application of modern physical methods to these complex
inorganic systems will be central to the
discussion. Familiarity with basic inorganic chemistry is useful.
MAJOR READINGS
Lippard and Berg, PRINCIPLES OF BIOINORGANIC CHEMISTRY, and readings in current literature.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Grading based on problem sets and a final exam.
