Conformational Analysis and Molecular Mechanics
CHEM 351 SP
The principles of conformational analysis and their applications in organic chemistry will be examined and modern methods of conformational analysis by computer (molecular mechanics) will be examined in detail. Class
meetings will consist of a
combination of lecture and in-class computer exercises using the PC MODEL molecular mechanics program. Previous computer experience is not necessary.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
An individual final project in molecular mechanics will be done in place of a final exam.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
This course will be held the first half of the semester.
