PREREQUISITES: MB&B205 AND BIOL206 AND BIOL207 natural populations, mechanisms of speciation, reconstruction of the history of life through the use of DNA sequence data, coevolution of plant-animal and host-parasite interactions, and the application of evolutionary principles to conservation biology.

MAJOR READINGS

M. Slatkin, EXPLORING EVOLUTION BIOLOGY; M. Ridley, EVOLUTION. And readings from the primary literature.
