Human Genetics
BIOL 221 FA
This is an upper level undergraduate course dealing with advanced topics in human genetics. Although the human species will be the focus of the course, other model systems, particularly mouse and drosophila, will be
included. Some attention will be
given to human disease and gene therapy.
MAJOR READINGS
Suggested text reading will be supplemented with current journal articles from the scientific literature.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
One exam (no final), one paper, class presentations and class participation will be expected of each student.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
